Hudson River Community Sailing offers a wide range of sailing opportunities depending on your desired interest and skill level.
From the most basic lessons to the most involved memberships, there is something for everyone. As Hudson River Community Sailing is a non-profit 501c3 organization, all proceeds from adult recreational activities go directly into furthering educational maritime opportunities for New York City urban youth.
We encourage all interested sailors to become members in order to take advantage of all the benefits including: use of the J24’s, reduced lesson prices, weekly racing, participation in members’ regattas and admission to members-only social nights.
Introduction to Sailing
- Taste of Sailing – Two hour recreational, hands-on sail. New York City’s only hands-on sailing experience that’s open to anyone. Intended to provide a basic Taste of Sailing
- Basic Keel Boat Course – A comprehensive course for beginners and intermediates that will turn you into a confident and competent sailor.
Sailing as a Lifestyle
- HRCS Sailing Membership – The best and most affordable way to go sailing whenever you want, participate in competitive weekly racing, and be part of a vibrant social community.
