US Sailing Keelboat Certification Class (women only)

Course DescriptionThis 18-hour women’s-only course will be taught by female instructors and will follow the Basic Keelboat curriculum set by US Sailing – the national governing body of the sport.  Students will learn how to rig a boat, sail at different angles to the wind, tack and gybe, tie knots, read tides and currents, trim sails, and perform a crew-overboard drill.  Skills taught on the water are reinforced in the classroom.  Participants may purchase the certification package which includes the textbook, additional instructional materials, Keelboat Certification (101 course) and membership with US Sailing.
