Half-day Introduction to Fly Fishing
Spend the morning or afternoon at a historic hunting camp in Stillwater, New Jersey steps away from the Appalachian Trail. Learn to fly cast and the art of selecting flies, on two private stocked ponds. This is an introduction to fly fishing, but can also be purchased by an intermediate level fly fisher who just wants to catch some nice trout. Although the ponds are primarily catch and release, one trout per angler may be kept to consume. Ponds are handicapped accessible, as are the bathrooms on the premises.
Your host, Jim Gaccione, is a former professional hunter, fly fisherman and guide. Jim has appeared on several shows on the Outdoor Channel showcasing his archery skills, trained hundreds in the art of traditional archery, game calls, and tracking, and fly fished internationally.
Up to 2 people may attend. Equipment included, or you can bring your own. For an additional charge, cabins are available on site with advance planning. Parking on site. Lunch can be arranged in advance and your host will be glad to help coordinate.
